Art and education collide in the Shakespeare Schools Festival. The festival gives students a chance to improve their language and social skills through performance, and the Baxter provides a world-class stage for the young actors.
This year, 12 schools will be performing 30-minute abridged versions of Shakespearean plays. This is non-competitive; rather it’s a platform to encourage and educate. This year, in honour of the Bard’s 400 anniversary, participants will be performing the plays in their home language.
Shakespeare Schools Festival SA have helped participating schools every step of the way, and you can enjoy the fruits of their labour this week. Go and show your support for a great programme.
