In 1970, for the Caughley porcelain factory in Shropshire, Thomas Minton designed and engraved The Willow Pattern, which remained popular over the next 200 years.

While the elements of the design were based on Chinese porcelain, the willow pattern is essentially English – as was the tragic love-story invented to promote its popularity and sales.

This story is told in The Tale of the Willow Pattern Plate. Enjoy this incredible puppet play with the whole family.
