Liza Littlewort’s paintings in the ‘We Live In The Past’ exhibition challenge the ideas of art in present-day South Africa.
Littlewort re-purposes the style, form, and content of traditional European genres like portrait, landscape and still life painting to present socio-political commentary on the sustained presence of white privilege.
