On the highest crest of the Helshoogte Pass, Delaire’s Asian-inspired restaurant boasts spectacular views of picturesque Stellenbosch. This playground in the ‘deep south’ is yet another winner from the vaunted Harbour House group. The menu offers ‘classic dude food’ – pizza, burgers and steak – but done with care and flair. Try some spicy chicken wings, then settle in with one of the many craft beers to make a night of it. Three more venues are now open on Long Street, in Century City and in Claremont, if you don’t fancy the drive to the coast.
