Are kids shows really that child-friendly these days? I’ve noticed many children’s television shows contain subtle elements of profanities. Adults barely notice it, because we’ve become so accustomed to seeing those things on television all the time. If you actually take the time to sit down and watch some kids shows, you’ll see that things get pretty weird, pretty quickly.

What happened to all the good kids shows? Brace Face, Dexter’s Laboratory, Rugrats and Pinky and The Brain? I think the ’90s shows need to make a comeback so that younger kids can see what great television looks like. So, if you manage to find a brilliant, fun and educational programme for your child, brother or sister to enjoy, stick with it.

Dora-2-

There are a few television shows for kids that are actually worth watching, such as Dora the Explorer. Luckily, GrandWest is presenting the perfect opportunity to get the kids out of the house with Dora the Explorer Live! Dora’s Pirate Adventure, which will soon be live on stage at the Grand Arena.

I know that you’re used to your kids shouting out all the words in Spanish as they watch Dora The Explorer in the lounge at home, but how awesome would it be if they experienced the full, fun package in person?

Dora the Explorer Live! Dora’s Pirate Adventures is an engaging and interactive story about Dora and her friends, Boots and Diego, as they go an adventure to explore Treasure Island in search of the ultimate pirate party.

Dora-4-

Your child will help Dora and her friends to navigate over the Dancing Mountain and through the Silly Singing Bridge in search of the Pirate Piggies. Along the way, the audience will help Dora’s successfully complete her journey using map reading, counting, musical and language skills. Be careful of the sly fox, Swiper. Your kids will have to do their best to avoid him and keep Dora and her friends safe.

Dora the Explorer live stage shows have been seen by more than four million people worldwide. Don’t miss the opportunity to see Dora before she jets off on another adventure.
