Nothing symbolises the change of season in Cape Town quite like movies under the stars with The Galileo Open Air Cinema.

Movie-lovers can choose from a stellar selection of great movies, as well as a festive food market filled with local gourmet goodness and an option to pack your own picnic.

This season, you’ll be spoiled with a whole host of new venues and movies on offer with no price increases.

Take your pick from regular venues, Kirstenbosch Gardens, Central Park in Century City, as well as brand new partner venues at Glenellen Farm, Kenilworth Racecourse, Rustenburg Girls’ High School, Willowbridge Mall and a sensational new spot at the V&A Waterfront’s ‘Battery Park’.

Your favourite summer staple is now also coming to you every Saturday at a different wine estate across the gorgeous Cape Winelands, which leaves zero excuse to stay home on the weekends.

Kicking off on October 17th, The Galileo’s seventh season of movie magic will also combine another year’s worth of giving back through various CSI efforts, as they team up with various charities across the province for some serious summer happiness.

This season, the Galileo has you covered for date nights, work events, family outings and the perfect way to entertain your friends (minus the dishes).

Season running dates: 17 October 2018 – 21 April 2019

Doors open: 6pm on weekdays, 5pm on Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays. Movies start after sunset.

Ticket prices: From R89- R175 p/p depending on ticket type
