United Kingdom metal band, Judas Priest will be making their way to South Africa’s shores for the very first time in March 2019. The band’s tour will kick off in Cape Town on 20 March 2019 before travelling to Johannesburg for a second performance.
There are very few heavy metal bands that experienced as great a success in the span of their 40-year-long career. The band was formed in Birmingham, England, in the early 1970s, and was one of the bands to pioneer the all-leather look that we have now come to associate with heavy metal.
In 2010, the band won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance and was nominated to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in 2017.
The latest album, Firepower, was released in March 2018 and has become the highest charting album of their career.
