Although more rain was predicted to fall later this week, the South African Weather Service says that this has now changed. A forecaster from the service informed Cape Town Etc that, for now, it is more likely that weather conditions will be cloudy and cool this weekend rather than rainy.

Warmer temperatures have also been predicted for Wednesday and Thursday but will revert back to being cool for the rest of the week and weekend.

The temperature increase may affect the snow at Matroosberg, and may cause the thick snow to melt. The South African Weather Service says that it cannot predict whether more snow will make landfall across the province this weekend.

Snow Report SA, however, has predicted that no snow will make landfall in the province this weekend, so catch the snow while it lasts.
