The Blitzbokke are on fire right now, after clinching the Dubai Sevens last weekend.
The World Sevens Series champions for the 2016/17 season continued their good form into the opening tournament of the 2017/18 season in Dubai, beating New Zealand 24-12 in Saturday’s final.
The Blitzbokke annihilated all opposition in their unbeaten march to the title in Dubai, in a stunning display of attacking rugby.
Inspired by Sevens stars Rosko Specman, Seabelo Senatla, Cecil Afrika and Kwagga Smith, the Blitbokke have dominated their opponents with skilful handling and passing, and spectacular bursts of speed.
And now it’s time for the Blitzbokke to bring their winning magic back home to Cape Town.
Last year, the home team was pipped at the post in the Cup final by England and they’ll be looking for revenge come December 9. With tough competition from Fiji, New Zealand, England and Australia, the Blitzbokke won’t have it all their own way.
The Cape Town Sevens is a favourite on the series circuit, and brings the Mother City to a standstill. Fans revel in their outrageous costumes and the December party vibe.
