Instagram is my favourite digital platform to be social. The saying, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’ holds true when it comes to the photo-sharing network, every photo can be considered storytelling through pictures (with a brief caption). And because everyone has a differing, unique eye for photography, unique stories are told in imagery from behind the lens.

Cape Town has a multitude of Instagram users, more than doubling from 2013’s assessment of 680 000, and rightfully so. Here, one can get lost in the photos of pretty much everything you can think of – but the real prize is the constant stream of beautiful photos of Cape Town.

These are a few local favourite users of ours here at Cape Town Etc who you should be following.
