Brought to you by Art South Africa, CHANGE ROOM at the heart of the Salt River Innovation Precinct, is a project space available to unrepresented artists and organisations. It seeks to curate and support works that encourage transformation.

By abandoning conventions and stepping away from the traditional ‘white cube’ framework, the gallery invites established and emerging artists from across Africa to experiment, collaborate, engage, construct, make and play.

Presented by the Bag Factory artists, Fortunes Remixed is the inaugural exhibition, a travelling group show that seeks to review concepts of freedom and democracy as experienced by young South Africans. It looks at South Africa’s journey, how artists have related to it and what their position on South African identity is today.

An exciting exhibition from start to end, participating artists include David Koloane, Pat Mautoa, Jessica Webster, Jarrett Erasmus, Burning Museum, Jo Voysey, Jessica Foli, Michelle Monareng, Pebofatso Mokoena, Zyma Amien and Igshaan Adams.
