We’re all waiting with baited breath for President Cyril Ramaphosa to address us at SONA tonight. In the last few years SONA has been considered a light comedic event, and a drinking game has been invented to add to the fun. We’re continuing the tradition with our own little drinking game cards. So grab some friends, a bottle of alcohol and popcorn – print these cards below and have a fun Friday night. Entertaining moments are definitely to be expected.
What you will need:
- a group of adults (friends, family, colleagues)
- a shot glass per person
- loads of alcohol
- SONA (7:30pm on DStv Channel 408, SABC TV, eNCA, ANN7, SABC radio stations and Parliament’s YouTube Channel)
Rules:
1. The rules are simple. If there are more than 5 people playing, print a few copies of our cards, so each person has one.
2. At the start of the game each person draws a card and holds on to that card for 30 minutes.
3. After 30 minutes put the cards back, shuffle it, and draw a different card. Do this every 30 minutes. The person standing at the end of the game will be ‘crowned’ the ‘President of SONA’.
