Kate Beckinsale films new series in Cape Town

British actress Kate Beckinsale is in Cape Town to film The Widow, a new TV series to be aired next year.

The 44-year-old beauty was seen on set, on the sweltering city streets. She also posted a video on her Instagram feed on Saturday of her interacting with a cheetah cub as the Cheetah Outreach near Somerset West.

Not sure when I have felt happier . Turns out all I have ever needed was four eight week old cheetah cubs and a gentle lick on the hand . Thank you, @cheetah_outreach for the most moving and beautiful experience ❤️❤️❤️

The Widow is the newest project from screenwriting brothers Harry and Jack Williams – responsible for hits Liar and The Missing. Beckinsale plays Georgia Wells, who attempts to uncover the truth behind her husband’s disappearance after he is reported dead following a plane crash in the Congo.

According to the Daily Mail, Beckinsale travelled to Cape Town with her mother, Judy.
