ImproGuise is an improv team from Cape Town. They have been delighting audiences with their TheatreSports antics for over 20 years.
They dream up their TheatreSports improvisations on the spot. Because they base shows on audience suggestions, each performance is unique and brings the essence of live theatre to the stage.
This type of event is highly portable; they can perform anywhere where an audience can sit and watch. ImproGuise performs at launches, parties, fundraisers and functions. TheatreSports is ideal for corporates as it can be an excellent ice-breaker at conferences, providing a platform for delegates to become acquainted.
Improguise also runs improv training workshops where you can unleash your creativity with a master improviser. These workshops are for absolutely anyone regardless of previous experience. Perhaps you are interested in the performing arts, or just need to boost your confidence.
The next improv for beginners course begins on 5 April 2016 and runs for six weeks on Tuesday evenings. You will learn to communicate with confidence, be present, work as a team by listening and accepting, think outside the box, tell stories, release your fear of failure, and take risks.
Learn to be imaginative and spontaneous while also improving your personal skills through a series of games, exercises and performances. Their fun games are specially designed to encourage listening, teamwork, confidence and creativity.
Improvisation is more than just performance. The principles behind improv have the ability to develop your cognitive, personal, organisational, social, political, and spiritual growth.
