Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, South Africa’s very own Miss Universe, has made her relationship with American baseball player and former football player Tim Tebow public. Nel-Peters uploaded a picture of herself and her boyfriend on his 31st birthday.
“Happy Birthday Timmy. You are such a bright light in so many people’s lives. Have the best day ever!,” the caption read.
E! News reported that Tebow liked the picture, while friend of Nel-Peters and former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, commented, “This is so sweet!”
The couple began secretly dating in July, and Nel-Peter’s picture confirmed that they are still going strong.
Rumors that the two were a couple began after Tebow’s sister, Katie, posted a picture of her brother and the pageant queen on Instagram. In the photo, Tebow posed with Peters while Katie stood with their brother, Robby.
“She is a really special girl and I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life,” the athlete said of the South African-raised beauty. “I am usually very private with these things but I am very thankful,” Tebow said in an interview with ESPN.
