Now in it’s 24th year, the annual Bastille Festival takes place this weekend, the 15th and 16th July in Franschhoek. The festival, a multi-sensory experience, will take you on a journey of all things French including a mountain bike race, a food and wine extravaganza and much more.

This year, the festival will be bigger and better by offering a hospitality package inspired by Joie de Vivre “the joy of living” from 13 to 16 July. This allows guests the chance to extend their #BastilleDay experience and is perfect for those with an adventurous spirit. The package includes participation in a variety of mountain-biking activities over three days, access to exclusive functions, accommodation, as well as day activities to enjoy some of the finest food and wine experiences available in Franschhoek.

The Food and Wine marquee is another highlight set against the backdrop of the historic Huguenot Monument. Sample the superb Franschhoek wines on offer or treat your taste buds to the selection of delicious gourmet fare available to purchase from the surrounding well-known eateries.

Add in the quirky caricature artist who captures your Bastille experience, the popular Porcupine Ridge, barrel rolling competition and a dedicated children’s area, and you have all the ingredients needed for a fun-filled festival weekend. Tickets for Saturday are sold out but visit webtickets.co.za now to get your tickets for Sunday.
