Twenty-six years after her death, no one has taken responsibility for the assassination of Dulcie September. The fun-loving Cape Flats woman with vivacious energy was brutally killed by five bullets to the head. This play follows Dulcie from her early days as a defiant teenager determined to become a school teacher, to a politically charged adulthood as an anti-Apartheid activist.

Her legacy lies in her consistent work towards educating the oppressed, overcoming racial divisions and forging unity amongst students of different racial backgrounds. However, after a departure from organisations, she aligned herself with militants who believed in action rather than words. Ultimately, the knowledge of nuclear trade she gained during this period is widely speculated to be the reason behind her mysterious death.
