Luxury Portfolio Marketing Manager for Cruises International, Seymour Brugger, explained that South Africans are turning to tailored planned cruises for their holidays due to its affordability and practicality.

“South Africans spend a lot of money to stay in high-end hotels in Durban or Cape Town when for a similar daily price, you can stay on five-star or six-star ship and enjoy an all exclusive experience,” said Brugger.

He went on to explain that the Cape Town harbour has seen an increase in the influx of luxury cruise liners entering its harbour due to the recent developments.

Cape Town is becoming a top destination for luxury cruise liners as Brugger points out the recent departure of the prestigious Crystal Symphony.

“Crystal symphony recently launched its very first world Cruise schedule out of Cape Town,” he said.

A cruise holiday provides an all-inclusive package and an alternative travelling experience for travellers.
