Franschhoek – the world-renowned and picturesque wine capital of South Africa is adding another jewel to its crown of elegant eateries. Forthcoming culinary gold La Petite Columbe is the product of an exquisite union between the iconic and award-winning La Colombe restaurant and luxurious Leeu Collection‘s lifestyle venues.

The restaurant will take the place of The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Francais hotel, to be headed up by a highly skilled team who will honour the heritage of its fine establishment.

Talented La Colombe chef John Norris-Rogers will partner with proprietor chefs Scot Kirton and James Gaag to sprinkle his familiar fine-dining magic in a new Franschhoek location. The innovative eight-to-12-course tasting menus will welcome guests with discernible style and flavour, focused on the finest local and seasonal produce. Each dish will be accompanied by a selection of fine wines.

The restaurant’s design will showcase a luxe ambiance through classic decor and modern country accents, styled by architects Rohan Young and Leeu Collection’s interior designer, Beverly Boswell.

With La Colombe being the perennial favourite for locals and international guests alike, regular patrons can expect the fine-dining extravaganza they’ve come to know and love, and perhaps be surprised with a twist or two.

La Petite Colombe will open on 01 August 2017, with online reservations now available via the website.
