Sea Point’s beloved sun-kissed social spot at the Winchester Mansions has just undergone a sensational design transformation.
Cape Town interior design company, Origin Interiors, took control of the makeover, which took about three months to complete. The bar is the epitome of comfort and sleek design, with a contrasting black and white colour scheme. This lends a sophisticated, stylish setting for meetings. The ornate detailing in the furniture adds a nostalgic charm typical of the hotel and adds the right amount of warmth for social gatherings.
They chose light greys, blues and stone to enhance the freshness and natural surroundings of the Sea Point coastline, offering a welcoming and refreshing feeling. The look is brighter and more energetic than before, but the sumptuous fabrics ensure that the glamour and luxe aspect of Harvey’s remains. Whether you choose a chic tub stool or a cosy comfort seating under the eye-catching chandeliers with soft lighting, a relaxed atmosphere for a get-together is guaranteed.
The bar opens onto a sun-kissed terrace to provide revellers with a breath of fresh air. You can order a coffee, a light meal or some wine and enjoy 30 minutes of complimentary WiFi. The more-ish Parmesan fries with garlic aioli is a delicious light bite while the legendary Winchester Mansions club sandwich will satisfy a man-sized appetite after a stroll on the Sea Point Promenade.
