If you’re planning to watch the big game on Saturday, then we have some great home entertaining ideas for you! Mocktails, springbokkies and more – we’ve teamed up with our friends at Suzuki SA to bring you rugby refreshments.

We encourage responsible alcohol consumption on game day and every day. If you’re drinking, don’t drive. If you’re driving, choose one of the delicious virgin drinks we’ve suggested instead.

Make your gameday home entertaining even better with this selection of food ideas we’ve put together to get you and your guests in the best spirit for when South Africa takes on New Zealand.

THE CLASSIC SPRINGBOK

Springbok shooter

We all know it, and we’ve probably all tried it. The springbok, a shooter consumed heavily during South African rugby matches, is a staple in living rooms and bars the nation over. Here’s how you can make it at home.

The best part of it all? Springboks are so easy to make. All you’ll need to do is fill half a shot glass of peppermint liqueur and top it up with Amarula Crea, Voila! You’ve got a classic.

VIRGIN G&T

Here’s a crowd-pleaser without the guilt – alcohol free gin & tonics. Enhanced with a botanical extract, it’s the real deal. Find it at stockists around the Western Cape.
