Trade in your old clothes for a bottle of wine at the Jordan Wine Estate, as part of a charity event they are hosting throughout winter. The initiative is to raise goods to donate it to those in need, as we brace the cold winter days in Cape Town. Donation of clothes, dog and cat food, along with blankets are welcome and in return donors can receive up to 12 bottles of wine.

Selected wines’s are on offer during the charity and is based on availability. One kilogram of clothing will get you a single bottle of wine and while stocks may run out, the initiative is a community effort to keep everyone warm this season. Undergarments and socks are also accepted as donations.

The event started on 15 May and will run until 31 August 2018 – or until wine stock lasts. Donations take place from Monday to Sunday, from 09.30am to 4pm.

Jordan Wine Estate runs this event annually during winter and has partnered with the Laudromat Stellenbosch to ensure that all donated goods are washed and dried before donation. It is the 11th year of event and they have seen a good turn out as they have raised over 3000kgs of clothing.
