The latest feel-good story is one full of hope and goodwill. It focuses on the work of Skate-aid and Salesian Institute Youth Projects which has used skateboarding as a means to uplift disadvantaged youth. Youth like Peter; a homeless teenager who lives under a bridge in Cape Town. Meet Peter:

This Salesian Insitute’s skate park in Greenpoint shows the positive impact skateboarding can have on people’s lives as a safe haven and a place for skills development.
To make a difference, you can donate old skateboards and clothes at the Salesian Institue towards the Skate-aid initiative.
