The stage is set for the Mother City to welcome in its highly-anticipated annual sporting event – the Cape Town Sevens.

Despite the event selling out in record-time, you can be assured that there will be plenty of festivities overflowing into the surrounds. For the duration of the Cape Town Sevens over the weekend, here are the road closures to take into account.Cape Town Sevens

If you’re attending, the best place to park would be in the CBD (south of Buitengracht Street), which is (free after 13h00 on Saturday and all day Sunday). Off-street parking is available at numerous parking garages in the CBD, such as at the CTICC, Ryk Tulbagh Square, Fountain Hotel, Picbel Parkade, Mandela Rhodes and Plein Park.

Supporters can make use of the free event shuttle to the Stadium from the Civic Centre or Thibaut Square station in Hans Strijdom Avenue . See the MyCiTi Events Shuttle sections below for more information. Alternatively, the fan walk from Waterkant, over the bridge to Somerset Rd and the Stadium can be used.
There will be NO public parking available at Cape Town Stadium and exiting from other parking facilities close to the venue will take a lot of time at the end of play on each day.

Granger Bay Boulevard, Vlei Road and Fritz Sonnenberg Road will be closed.
