The must-see, most festive event of the summer, the Cape Town Sevens, is an event not to be missed – and with the Blitzboks holding the current Series Champions title, it’s sure to be a cracker this year!
The much-anticipated tournament will take place on 9 and 10 December at the Cape Town Stadium, with a dedicated alcohol-free area in the north area of the stadium, providing value and a great time at this event for families. R150 gets you the cheapest ticket up for grabs, while prices go up to R200 and R300, depending on where you book your seat in the Cape Town Stadium.
“The HSBC Cape Town Sevens is regarded as one the best sporting events in South Africa and we aim to improve the experience every year,” says SA Rugby CEO Jurie Roux.
“Feedback we’ve received has indicated a strong need for a ‘family experience’, which is why we’ve blocked out the North Stand as an alcohol-free zone, with the Kiddies Village there to provide entertainment for the little ones during the day – free of charge.”
Once again, the South Stand will be where the party is, and SA Rugby is looking forward to seeing how fans will creatively show their support, “we’re excited to see what fun ways fans will come up with to show their support for the Blitzboks and the other teams in action” says Roux.
“We would also like to ask supporters to only buy tickets from authorised outlets – the Computicket website or app, and participating outlets at Shoprite or Checkers stores nationwide. Tickets or packages purchased from other online agencies or companies are completely unofficial and entry cannot be guaranteed by SA Rugby.”
Being named as The Best Live Sports Experience in South Africa at the Discovery Sport Industry Awards in Johannesburg earlier this year, fans can expect another sell-out two days of world class action and a classic South African entertainment experience.
All corporate suites have been sold out, but hospitality packages are still available from SA Rugby. Packages on offer include tickets to the event in dedicated seating areas, meals, drinks and parking. These are the packages on offer to experience the action in style.
