Paul wants to buy his boss an awesome gift to say thank you. Why he needs to buy this gift isn’t important. Paul decides to head over to the nearest mall to purchase a gift. He hands over the cash to the teller and walks out with a smile on his face. ‘This gift is so cool. The boss is going to love it,’ he says to himself.
The next day, Paul sets the gift on his boss’s desk, confident that the day will go well and his boss will be impressed.
Are you expecting this story to have a happy ending? It doesn’t. Paul’s boss already has three identical copies of the mass-produced gift. Yawn. The point being: don’t be like Paul, just don’t.
