The results for this years local government elections are still rolling in. As the country awaits the final results of their municipalities, the latest results show that the DA have dominated throughout the Western Cape. According to News24’s Live Election Feed, as of 7:37 am this morning, the votes for the Western Cape is 91 % complete with the DA leading 19 municipalities.
The ANC has won control over the Laingsburg and Hessequa municipalities. In the City of Cape Town, 85 % of the votes have been captured. Currently the DA leads with 67.5 % of the votes, the ANC holds 23.5 % and the EFF holds 3.12 %.

While the results are still being counted, the DA have already started their celebrations over the majority win and the hope of more victories in other parts of the country.
