Women’s Month is less than a week away and the upcoming Totalsports Women’s Day Fun Run is a great excuse to get outdoors – for a great cause!

This year’s event, in celebration of National Women’s Day, will see entrants running in support of the thousands of women who are, have, and will be affected by breast cancer. Hosted by Totalsports and in association with PinkDrive, entering the race will help raise awareness of prevention and treatment.

Participants can choose to push their limits against top athletes or set their own pace on a 5 km or 10 km circuit. joining many South African women around the country to raise awareness about breast cancer on 9th August.

Cape Town’s Grand Parade will form the start and finish of the event, with the 10km race starting at 08h00 and the 5km fun run at 08h10. Entries cost R80pp for the fun run, while the longer 10km circuit will cost R120 for licensed runners and R150 for unlicensed. Runners will receive an exclusive Performance Miler Nike tee, a finisher’s bracelet and refreshment points along the route.

The Women’s Day Race is committed to raising awareness and education around breast cancer as well as improving the services available to women across South Africa through PinkDrive.
