Niels Szenbek, a German tourist, has been missing from Plettenberg Bay since last Saturday. Niels Szenbek booked into the Tsitsikamma Sunrise Caravan Park last Friday and was last seen by the owner of the park.

His passport, cellphone, and luggage were left untouched at his accommodation.

“The search is still ongoing in Plettenberg Bay. We haven’t had any breakthroughs, but the search continues. Anybody who knows about his whereabouts is urged to call the Plettenberg Bay police,” said Malcolm Poje, police spokesperson, to EWN.

“Unfortunately, nobody has been found up until now. We appeal to the community in the area, if they have any information about his whereabouts, to contact the local police in Plettenberg Bay or our toll-free number 10111.”

The search for Norwegian student, Marie Ostbo, has been called off since. She disappeared from Sedgefield in April and has not yet been found.

The 21-year-old was last seen on April 18, at Myoli Beach on the Garden Route, approximately 100 metres away from the backpacker’s lodge where she and a group of fellow international students were staying.
