It’s no secret that Cape Town is home to the most expensive properties on the continent, Nettleton Road in Clifton is known to be the most highly-priced, exclusive address in the country.

So it’s no surprise that a South African has forked out a staggering R120-million to buy a home there.

The house in Nettleton Road, on the slopes of Lions Head – has seven levels, six bedrooms, a private cinema, a wine cellar, a massage room, gymnasium, a library, a floating bar, a steam room and an infinity pool.

Dogon Group Properties sold the house and confirmed that the buyer is indeed a South African. According to Dogon, they have noticed a surge in property purchases this year compared to 2016.

Research done by New World Wealth concluded that The Ridge and Cliff Road in Clifton top the list of most expensive streets in South Africa – at R96 000/m², followed by the V&A Marina development (R90 000/m²) in Dock Road in the central city of Cape Town.
