Uber has officially been ingrained into our mind. So many people say ‘let’s get an Uber’ rather than ‘let get a taxi’. After the international sucess of their transport app, Uber  extended their model to the food delivery service and it has finally reached Cape Town. We are the 60th city to receive the app.

UberEATS allows you to order food and have it delivered to you. While the concept is not new, it is popular and the more ways we get food to us the better. UberEATS has partnered with 100 restaurants in Cape Town, including some that you may not have be able to order from before. HQ, Nü, Societi Bistro, My Sugar, The Creamery, Gibson’s Gourmet Burgers & Ribs, Engruna Eatery and IYO are just a few of the names you can order from.

The app currently operates from 10 am to 10 pm and delivers to Cape Town City Bowl, Camps Bay, the Atlantic Seaboard, Woodstock and Observatory. They hope to expand their operation ares soon. The app also picks up participating restaurants within a 3km radius to you, so you can can order in your area, but you can order from further out if you want.

Whether you want to enjoy a romantic meal from your favourite  restaurant at home, or you want a fancy lunch at work, UberEATS has you covered.
