Green Point Fan Walk

It’s the biggest street party of the year! Cape Town Carnival is taking over Green Point with the most fitting theme, Street Life. No matter your colour, culture or creed, we all share the streets of the city, and the Cape Town Carnival is celebrating this common ground with an incredible parade.

The will be costumes, floats, dancers and music all representing the many different facets of our diverse city. From 3 pm you can wander the streets and enjoy great food and drinks from many stalls. At 6 pm the streets will be closed in preparation for the epic parade that will take place at 7 pm.

You can watch the parade for free from the streets, or buy tickets to get a great view in a raised seat.  Either way, it promises to be a colourful, energetic event that the whole family will adore.

Once the float procession is over, the fun continues with a epic free street party! The Cape Town Carnival Street Party that will take place at Gallows Hill Stage at the Gallows Hill Traffic Department and also on the Channel O Stage at the Greenpoint Traffic Circle in Somerset Road, from 9pm until midnight. DJ Lloyd, Ready D, Groove Africa and Mathew Gold will get you up and dancing all night long!
