Shimmy is always a good spot for dining or a party and they are throwing some family entertainment into the mix this Easter Weekend. On Easter Sunday, all ages can enjoy an egg hunt, face painting, egg decorating and swimming. Three dedicated au pairs will supervise the activities while the adults enjoy some time off on a private beach with superb food and views.

For Easter, the classy inner city spot, Taj Cape Town, is presenting dining deals and relaxing spa treatments. On Friday 25 March, Mint, The Local Grill is hosting a Sunday Jazz Lunch. Executive Chef Shyam Longani is preparing a decadent mix of traditional and fusion Easter delights. For a tranquil public holiday in the city, a saxophonist will entertain guests from noon.

From 25 to 28 March, be posh with an Afternoon Tea in the Taj Lobby Lounge between 2 and 5 pm. The Easter theme, Sugar and Spice, presents traditional dishes like pickled fish, smoked snoek, and gourmet samoosas and muffins served with Indian Chai tea.

Grande Provence

Grande Provence is offering some Easter-themed accommodation options. The specials will tempt couples or families with luxury accommodation, gourmet food, a chocolate experience, picnics, wine, adventure and more.

In addition to the regular à la carte menu at The Restaurant, Executive Chef Darren Badenhorst has added unique Easter temptations for the long weekend. You can choose from a tapas board of mini hot cross buns, speciality Franschhoek trout paté and more. Artisanal mini chocolate eggs will accompany coffee and tea.

A decadent chocolate Easter eggs and wine tasting is available at the Tasting Room along with surprises for kids tagging along with their parents.

On Family Day, Monday 28th, you can order a picnic basket that includes kid-friendly foods for the ever-popular Grande Provence picnic. The basket will also include an entertainment pack so you can enjoy a day of fun outside with the family.
