Adrenaline junkies will thrill you with aerial tricks that defy gravity at the Night Harvest BMX and MTB event.

The Night Harvest is the biggest BMX and MTB dirt competition in Africa, and now in its 5th year, it guarantees a mind-blowing experience.

International and pro riders have been hand picked for both categories. Amongst many others, look out for Kevin Peraza, the 2015 winner, who will be showing off his BMX skills, and Sam Reynolds, the 2014 winner, who will astound you with his MTB tricks.

One of the most exciting things about this high-energy event is the proximity of the action – it’s all happening right in front of your eyes, you can even sit a metre away if you dare. There is an elevated viewing deck for those who prefer to watch the action from further away.

Hout Bay is the place to catch this epic event. It takes place at a spot called Potato Trails. The trail builders have been hard at work sculpting the dirt tracks to perfection and harvest time has arrived. To avoid weather constraints, the team set aside two potential nights for the event, but it has been confirmed for Saturday 13 February.

Only riders who have received an invitation may take part on the night. This is due to the dangers associated with the sport and in the interest of rider and spectator safety. Helmets are compulsory and there will be a team of medics available.

Tickets will be available at the gate, but space is limited so it’s best to pre-book your ticket online to avoid disappointment as the event is getting bigger and better every year.

There are some exciting sponsors who will be on the scene and you can expect to find stalls selling refreshments.

Party with the Night Harvest crew, riders and top bass music DJs at the after party at La Cabane in Hout Bay. If you attended the event and have an armband, entrance is only R30, or R60 without.
