School holidays are over. Lucky for you, weekends are here to stay. Take a well-deserved rest at the South Beach Holiday Accommodation. You may be coming from a vacation, but South Beach will give you the most luxurious stay you’ve ever dreamed of, trust me.
South Beach Holiday Accommodation is a glorious self-catering 5-star property. They currently have nine sea-facing apartments, only a 50m walk from the Atlantic Ocean. Another 10 five-star apartments will be added to the property by the end of the year. The beach is not the only place to soak up that winter sun. The apartments have a stunning swimming pool, with suites that offer different, but equally magnificent views of the pool area.
I had the privilege of spending a night in the lavish apartments of South Beach. From the moment I entered the premises, I was treated like a VIP. The property has a gym and a laundry. And for those who love cycling, bicycles are available for guests. Although the residence is self-catering, they provide fresh complementary breakfast food items for you to work your magic in their fully-equipped kitchen.
Travelling in winter can be a drag. Packing warm, heavy sleepwear and undergarments. There’s no need! South Beach offers comfort and warmth at its best. The closet is dressed with essentials: more blankets, comfortable crisp white robes and light bath slippers. The bedroom area is fixed with a warm fluffy carpet. The highlight of my stay? The underfloor heating that warms the bathroom tiles. Brilliant!
During our stay at South Beach, we were taken to Richard’s Supper Stage & Bistro and treated to a delightful three-course dinner. I’m not from Cape Town, so it was amazing learning about the history of the province through a play that was performed, including a Kaapse Klopse show. I am a hopeless romantic, which is why my favourite moment was watching an engagement of a cute mature couple unfold. Congratulations to them!
The evening at Richard’s was traditional and comical. There were hats for guests to wear at each table. The food was simple and homely, but tasty and plentiful. My stomach jumped with joy as we were told the main course would be served as a buffet.
After the dinner at Richard’s Supper Stage & Bistro, the night ended with me back in South Beach, soaking in their huge bathtub. Thanks for the divine scented bath soak! Watching the view of the beach in the evening was pleasant, and made even more so memorable by the sounds of splashing waves. I couldn’t resist capturing the lovely sunset.
It doesn’t matter if you’re from Cape Town, or how many times you’ve visited Camps Bay. South Beach will allow you to see the suburb from a completely new perspective. It’s well worth a vacation, or even a staycation for Cape Town locals!
