Dam levels are up again from last week’s 55.8% to 56.4% and are sure to rise again with rain predicted for Friday, 27 July.

Steenbras Upper dam sits at a bountiful 101.4% full, Berg River at a generous 85.9% and the lowest dam, Theewaterskloof now sits at an increased 41.7%.

The regional head of the Water and Sanitation Department, Rashid Khan, has stated that level B6 water restrictions will be lifted once dam levels reach 85%. A meeting will be held in August 2018 to discuss water restriction and converse with water users regarding the water crisis status.
