Kleine Eike Estate:
Kleine Eike Estate is situated in Greyton, two hours from Cape Town. Kleine Eike is truly a piece of heaven on earth. With lovely laid-out campsites, lush lawns and a refreshing river for swimming and tubing. Take a stroll around the estate exploring or visit the farm animals that come up to the fences to greet you.
The bathrooms offer hot showers and are always spotlessly clean. wood and ice are sold with an honesty system in place and each campsite has an electric hook-up.
Montagu Guano Caves:
A wonderland for the kids and is just 3 hours from Cape Town. Montagu Guano Caves has activities to keep the kids busy all day. From a petting zoo and horse rides to swimming and water activities to jeep and tractor rides. They also have a restaurant on site that serves up wood-fired pizzas and burgers.
Each campsite offers an electric point and fresh water tap. The bathrooms have recently been upgraded.
Situated on the banks of the Breede River, an hour and a half drive from Cape Town is the peaceful Rivierplass Campsite which offers lawns and play areas for the children to enjoy. Activities include swimming, a foefie slide into the river, tubing, canoes and rafting are available, as well as a 2.5km hiking trail.
Rivierplaas stocks basic camping necessities such as ice, firewood, blitz, tabard and bottled water. The campsite has hot water but no electricity.
Kam’Bati River Resort:
Kam’Bati River Resort is situated on a farm called Jubileeskraal in the Overberg, just under 3 hours from Cape Town. The campsites are located on lush grass with electricity points and clean bathrooms.
The resort is well secluded, safe and child-friendly, with a range of activities to keep the little ones entertained such as putt-putt, cycling and hiking trails, canoeing and water slides that provide hours of fun.
Berg River Resort:
The Berg River Resort as the name suggest is located on the banks of the Berg River, a mere hours’ drive from Cape Town and offers camping spots with electrical points and entertainment and activities for the whole family.
The facilities include an Olympics-size as well as a kid’s size swimming pool, waterslides, jungle gyms, volleyball, rollerskating, trampolines, putt-putt, a pool table and so much more.
