In a post on social media, Urban Caracal Project stressed again how important it is for dog owners to keep their dogs on leashes as they walk through Table Mountain National Park with their pets.
Dogs are known to chase, harm, and sometimes kill caracals, but these incidents can be avoided.
“Picking up after your dog while walking and keeping up to date with vaccinations are also important ways to reduce the spread of parasites and disease. These actions will lower the impact of dogs on all wildlife in these areas,” adds Urban Caracal Project.
