With Mother’s Day just around the corner, what better way to celebrate than by taking a trip to the stunning Jamestown Flower Farm in Stellenbosch?
Founded during the lockdown in 2020 by Wendy Attwell, Barbara and Beatrice Fassler, and their assistants Boston and Lenny, the farm is the perfect place to spend a day with your mom or pick your own fresh flowers as her gift.
Unlike other farms in the area that grow vegetables and strawberries, Jamestown Flower Farm offers a unique and fun experience that is perfect for Mother’s Day.
The fields are brightly coloured with flowers such as dahlias, sunflowers, snapdragons, marigolds, cosmos and many more. Visitors can pick their own flowers and create beautiful bouquets to take home as a reminder of their special day.
The farm is situated in the historic village of Jamestown, just 4km out of Stellenbosch. Each farm along the Webersvallei Road is a narrow strip about 20m wide and 300m long.
A few years since its founding, with the help of a much larger team, the flower farm is still experimenting and expanding as they learn new things and fall more in love with growing flowers every day.
