Somerbosch Wines is the perfect place to visit this summer as it suits everyone – the young and old.

The wine farm  which is a mere 45- minutes away from Cape Town has been perfecting the art of blending grapes into fine wine for almost three decades.

However there is a lot that is on offer.

Below are some of the activities to look forward to:

Wine tasting Since 1995, winemakers at the farm have been showcasing their ability to make various vintages. Somerbosch is home to the premium labels Somerbosch wine and also Poker Hill.

If you are a fan of local reality TV, you will know that the recently launched wine on the market Ashes 2 Beauty wine by local celebrity Nonku Williams, the star of “Real Housewives of Durban” is produced from Somerbosch’s grape selection. The reality star was clear to note that she picked the farm for its exceptional grape quality.

Visitors to this wine-churning vineyard, Somerbosch can look forward to experiencing six wines from the wine list or three red wines and homemade red wine ice cream.

Bistro Take in the views of the wine farm and the mountain range as you sit down in the restaurant to an a-là- carte menu that caters to both the young and the old.  Pop in for breakfast or lunch and Chef Zenta and the team will.

There’s more Strawberry picking is also on the cards here. The vast fields are open between October and December.

Visitors are also welcome to try out the delicious Somerbosch’s signature strawberry ice cream.
