For the first time ever, the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition will be held outside Europe, and Cape Town has been graced with the honour.
The Cape Town Opera, Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, University of Cape Town and Artscape Theatre Centre have united to conduct the 35th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition. The preliminaries of the event will take place at the Baxter, while the finals will be happening at the Artscape. To see all preliminaries, you can purchase a R200 ticket, which will be much cheaper than buying a R100 ticket each day to see the shows.
