Simons’s Town Museum, Simon’s Town

Explore one of South Africa’s greatest artists, Peter Clarke in retrospective with a tour of where he lived and a look at his archive.

Experienced UK-based art curator, Tessa Jackson, will lead the tour. Richard Clarke, Peter’s brother, will be present as the tour starts with honouring Clarke at the Simon’s Town Museum. The trip will proceed on foot to see the views he depicted, before heading to Ocean View where Clarke was relocated during apartheid. The outing ends with lunch at Casa Labia Cultural Centre where you will see highlights of Clarke’s archive.
