Chocolate: the cure for broken hearts, hangovers and the sweetest of cravings. We all have our favourites and its safe to say that South Africans are extremely passionate about which coco delight sits top shelf. Remember when Nestlé discontinued the Chocolate Log? And let’s not forget the beloved Tempo. It was a scary time for the nation.
My favourite chocolate is without a doubt Woolies’ Chuckles, writes Cape {town} Etc’s Robyn Simpson. Not that imposter nonsense that comes in a purple packet at the movies — the Woolworths “malted puffs in milk chocolate”. If heaven had a flavour, this would be it.

Woolworths is paving the road to chocolate heaven, one chuckles-flavoured goodie at a time.
The unequivocal joy I experienced from the release of their Chuckles ice cream drop required serious meditation and calming breathing techniques to recover from and come back down to Earth. And I’m not the only one…
Chuckles Real Dairy Malt Ice cream and Mini Malt crunch solos sold out within the first week of its release. But don’t worry, Woolies is on it and are producing more to ensure sufficient stock for the festive season, reports IOL.
Just when I thought my trusty grocer had peaked, it’s gone and introduced a Chuckles cake. I’m not quite sure what to do with myself.

What we’re looking at here: decadent chocolate and malt flavoured sponges, layered with all butter malt icing over a crunchy milk chocolate centre, finished with chuckles malted puffs underneath a chocolate dome.

The gorgeous creation is interactive too (as if it could get any better). Lucky snackers get to crack the chocolate dome before diving in.

This marvellous treat is available at Woolworths in-store and online for R299.99.
