The sun has finally decided to peek out behind the clouds this weekend, which can only mean one thing – forest boogie!
There are some epic places around Cape Town that would make any nature lover’s feet tap to the sweet sounds of Mother Nature. Rugged terrains, rolling blue oceans and lush forests are right in our backyard.
If you’re looking to start the year on a good foot and shake off the troubles of 2021, it’s time to put on your best exploring hat and dancing shoes and head to Noordhoek Common for an incredible evening spent shaking what your mamma gave ya as the sun goes down.
Hosted by Secret Sunrise and the UPliftment Programme, these two powerhouses are bringing a unique dance session to residents looking to connect more deeply with themselves and nature. Headsets are handed out on arrival and accredited facilitators are ready to guide you through a series of incredible music genres that will get you into the groove.
This boogie is all about mindfulness, offering an assortment of practices to suit your fancy, including meditation, breathwork, movement and dance.
Come as you are! Your favourite tutu, strangest dancing boots and bright clothing, or those random pieces of clothing you haven’t worn in ages – they’re all encouraged, so go wild!
Eager to become one with nature and your inner dancer?
General admission is R150, but don’t forget to bring the kids along at just R50 (under 12). Bring along some comfortable clothing and water because things will get sweaty!
