The luxurious local Pepperclub Hotel & Spa has been labelled Africa’s Leading City Hotel 2018 for the sixth consecutive year in a row at the annual prestigious World Travel Awards regional Africa & Indian Ocean Gala ceremony held in Durban.

The World Travel Awards promotes and develops global travel and tourism by recognising and identifying excellence in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Pepperclub Hotel & Spa was nominated not only for the Worlds Leading City Hotel but also Africa’s Leading Hotel Residence for 2018.

The award places the hotel among the ranks of The Ritz in Paris and the Grosvenor in England as nominees in the 25th annual World Travel Awards, scheduled to take place in Lisbon on December 1.

Pepperclub Hotel & Spa General Manager, Efi Ella, is hopeful that the award will benefit the local tourism industry.

“With the award for Africa’s Leading City Hotel remaining in the city, and Cape Town recently having also been named the one of the most affordable long-haul destination for visitors from the UK- we’re keen to get the message out that Cape Town is still very much open for business,” said Ella.

Located in the heart of the city centre, the Pepperclub Hotel & Spa offers guests a five-star experience with 210 luxury rooms and breathtaking views of the harbour, Table Mountain and Signal Hill.

The hotel features a private cinema, a restaurant serving contemporary cuisine, a swimming pool with panoramic views and a luxurious spa.

The Odeon Cinema hosts a dinner date evening costing R225 per person, including a movie, dinner and popcorn.
