Ultra-trail Cape Town (UTCT), presented by Saloman is part of the Ultra Trail World Tour. Trail running races including the 100km, 65km, and 35km will take place on Saturday, November 30. Cape Town locals, Kane Reilly and Noami Brand, are strong contenders to win the Men’s and Women’s 100km race.

The 100km race spans across sections of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill, Orangekloof, Llandudno, Hout Bay, the Constantia Winelands, the upper slopes of Kirstenbosch Nature Reserve and Devils Peak. A perfect race for spectators to enjoy due to the beautiful locations, festive vibe, and exciting action. Organisers are urging Capetonians to come out and cheer for the athletes at the designated spectator zones.

If you’re interested in watching Cape Town’s own elite runners such as Kane Reilly, Landie Greyling, and Naomi Brand push themselves to the limit and compete against some of the top international ultra-trail runners, then come out and be a supporter. Be a part of an event that celebrates an active, outdoor lifestyle.

The best times and venues to catch the first runners for the 100km race are: at Gardens Rugby Club (the start at 4am and the finish which is estimated at 1.52pm for the first runners), on Signal Hill (4.50am), at Kloof Nek near the Pipe Track (5.30am), Llandudno Surf Lifesavers Club (8.10am), Hout Bay Harbour (9.50am), on the Alphen Trail in Constantia (11.10am) and at UCT Tennis Club (12.40pm).
