As of May 1, Capetonians can once again finally enjoy the pleasures of takeaway food as the lockdown restrictions ease from alert level five to four.

If your dishes are piling up and your willingness to do them is going down, never fear. These Cape Town restaurants are here to serve you up some hot meals, delivered right to your door.

This swanky Camps Bay location will reopen its doors on Friday, May 1 to offer locals takeaways.

The menu is yet to be announced but keen patrons can follow them on their Instagram for updates on what will be on offer.

Orders will be taken through WhatsApp or via their landline.

2. Jason Bakery

Wildly popular Cape Town bakery, Jason Bakery will be offering patrons freshly baked goods from May 1.

Currently the establishment has a number of breads and baked essential available via their lockdown survival orders but the future could have sweeter possibilities on the menu from the easing of restrictions.

3. The 41

Treat yourself to your first burger since lockdown with The 41’s unbelievable 41 burger.

Other delightful meals from the restaurant in Camps Bay will be on offer so be sure to check out their menu for more takeaway options from May 1.

4. Scheckters Raw

Healthy foodie favourite, Scheckter’s Raw, will be offering locals the chance to enjoy superfood deliveries during level 4.

From healthy smoothies to immune boosting beverages and even pumpkin flapjack batter, those looking for their healthy fix can get it at Scheckter’s.

5. Pizza Hut

Pizza-lovers are in for a treat from Friday, as Pizza Huts around the Mother City will resume deliveries.

For many, pizza is the one thing they have been missing all lockdown long.

6. Nuri Sushi

Your sushi dreams will come true as of May 1 with Nuri Sushi’s reopening for deliveries.

The store announced that they will reopen, with a reminder that their delivery area has been expanded.

7. Magica Roma

If you’ve been longing for Italian food, be prepared to put your pasta where your mouth is.

Magica Roma, one of Cape Town’s most loved Italian restaurants, will be offering delivery as of May 1, serving up their usually delicious variety of pastas, pizzas, salads and soups.

8. Three Wise Monkeys

Those living in the Sea Point area will soon be able to enjoy Three Wise Monkeys platters delivered straight to their doors.

The popular Asian fusion restaurant has a number of delicious dishes to choose from that can be browsed here.

Confirmation on the selected items available for delivery will be given later this week.

9. Knead Bakery

Celebrate level four restrictions with fresh baked goods and even build-your-own burger kits from Knead’s online store.

As of May 1, their offerings may be expanded to include freshly cooked meals, watch this space.

10. Massimo’s

Cape Town’s pride and joy, Massimo’s, known for serving up some of the best pizza in the world, will also be doing deliveries from May 1.

While you already don’t need any motivation to grab a delicious pasta or pizza from this fine establishment, they have also announced that they will be donating towards DARG and CCP for every dish ordered for delivery. We can’t think of better way to celebrate an easing of restrictions.

11. The Presidents Hotel

The President Hotel is bringing their delicious artisanal wood-fired pizzas and Sunday Lunches straight to your door!

With a variety of artisanal wood-fired pizzas available for delivery-only as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options on offer, residents within the Camps Bay, Bantry Bay, Fresnaye, Sea Point and Green Point areas can place their orders via WhatsApp between 11am and 5pm daily – delivery is FREE.

Sunday Lunches need not be a fuss either with the hotel’s Executive Chef Jacques Swart releasing delicious menus weekly. Each box comes with an instruction card on how to heat and serve the dish and no preparation needed – simply cook and serve meals just the way you like it.
