Capetonians are certainly spoiled when it comes to sunsets and sunrises. Just when we thought we’d seen the most breathtaking sky, the Mother City comes around with yet another stunner.

Yesterday evening as the sun sank in Cape Town’s skies, it created a beautiful spectrum of light with bright purples, oranges, yellows, pinks and blues mixing together along with the clouds.

In some areas, a strange cloud formation was visible that made it appear as though the sky was cut in two.
