The official first week of the nationwide lockdown has just about passed and Cape Town is looking empty yet beautiful as always.

While the Mother City is not her usual bustling self, traffic for those who are making their way to provide essential services is at least no longer a problem for the first time in Cape Town history.

Locals are still enjoying beautiful views from their windows and dreaming of the world outside but should not forget to stick to the regulations and stay at home.

Many residents are compiling lists of to-dos for when lockdown is over, have you thought of yours?

While everyone else was indoors in Hout Bay, dolphins were frolicking in the waters outside today.

If you’re getting a little bored inside or dreaming of places around Cape Town, here are a few pictures and videos to get you by until tomorrow:

Still social distancing. Or more like physical distancing. I’m definitely not social distancing. FaceTime & whatsapp video are helping me get through physical distancing. . Still dreaming of better times. This was home for a little while & oh how I loved staying at the V & A waterfront! Taking a walk alone was all the therapy I needed. And the proximity to all the amazing restaurants [especially the seafood ones & ice cream shops] made it even more perfect. . #daughterofadiplomat #willworkforairmiles #travel #traveler #traveller #traveling #travelling #travelblog #travelblogger #instatravel #seetheworld #wanderlust #wanderlusting #wanderluster #africa #southafrica #capetown #vawaterfront
