Day 26 of lockdown is drawing to a close. We can finally take the afternoon to relax and unwind from the day. Perhaps you’re snuggled up on the couch under a warm blanket. Maybe you have a fire burning in your fireplace to warm yourself up, as the evenings get noticeably chillier.

Maybe you’re getting dinner ready, spending some time with your family or chilling out with some series. Whatever it is that you are doing this Tuesday evening, why not take a moment to reflect and be grateful?

If you have food in your fridge, a roof over your head, family and friends to talk to, clothes on your back: these are some of the things you should reflect on and be grateful for. If you are in good health, your family is in good health, you are not worried for your safety or mental wellbeing: reflect and be grateful.

While we are confined to our houses until next Friday, another thing we can be grateful for is the uniqueness and diversity of the city we call home. Cape Town is brimming with beauty and while we can’t take it all in at the moment, these photos will hopefully help you to #CapeCalm, relax and be grateful.
